Distance: 12 km (7.5 miles) Elevation Gain: 600m (1,968ft) Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco very early in the morning, to take bus to the city of Chilca (Km 82) to begin your trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. After three hours walking approximately you will stop for lunch. Then you will continue walking towards your first camp site at Wayllabamba, on the way will have a guided tour of the archaeological complex of Llactapata. Dinner and overnight are in tents at the campsite.

Distance: 11 km (6.8 miles) Elevation Gain: 1,200m (3,937ft) Elevation Loss: 600m (1,968ft) After breakfast the toughest part of the trail begin, walking towards the highest point in the Inca trail where you will have an unbelievable panoramic view of the whole area and will observe different types of microclimates, after a 3 or 4 hours walk you will reach the first pass Warmyhuañusca or woman’s dead pass, at approximately 4,200 m.a.s.l. here, you will have a impressive feeling of achievement mixed with relief on reaching the top after that you will continue your walking down hill to Pacaymayo where is the second campsite, lunch is optional can be after to second pass or in camp side because generally arrive early.

Distance: 15 km (9.3 miles) Elevation Gain: 400m (1,312ft) Elevation Loss: 1,350m (4,429ft) After breakfast start the descent towards the second most important pass of the trail at 3,850 m.a.s.l, having a guided visit at the archaeological complex of Runkuracay and the Inca city of Sayacmarca we will continue to Phuyupatamarca another important archaeological monument. Here lunch will be served after a short break you will continue walking to Wiñayhuayna for a guided visit of this impressive archaeological complex with a spectacular setting. After that we will sleep in tent, dinner and overnight.

Distance: 5 km (3.1 miles) Elevation Gain: 220m (722ft) Elevation Loss: 440m (1,444ft) The group will wake up early in the morning (4:00 to 4:30 am) after breakfast you climb to arrive in time for sunrise at Machupicchu, After one hour walk through the forest towards the Inti Punku of the Gate of the Sun also known as the Entrance Gate to Machupicchu where you will have the most impressive panoramic view then visit the archaeological monumental place about 2 hours then you will have free time around 4 to 5 hours. The group will go down to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon, and then take the train to Ollantaytambo and tourist bus will be waiting for you to go back to Cusco.
