Overview
This is an adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Passing through the pastoral regions of the Urubamba mountain range, we traverse snow-capped peaks and subtropical valleys, enjoying scenic lagoons, natural thermal baths, and Inca ruins along the way. Due to its remote location, the area has allowed its people to preserve traditions of weaving llama and alpaca wool, potato cultivation, and crafting colorful, handmade garments with Inca motifs. This tour is experiential, allowing close encounters with the customs and daily life of the Andean people.
During this journey, we will walk around 7 to 8 hours daily at an average altitude of 2,900 meters, offering stunning panoramic views of various peaks, snowy mountains, and beautiful lagoons. We will camp in communities where we can appreciate the art and textiles that are still preserved in these places.

Itinerary
We start our adventure with a transfer from the hotel at 5:00 a.m. crossing the Sacred Valley of the Incas, arriving at the thermal medicinal baths of Lares. On the way, we will appreciate the majestic Sacred Valley with its fertile lands, then arrive at the small village of Calca (2,940m) and ascend through the small villages of Totora and Maucaupata. Finally, after approximately 4 hours, we arrive in Lares (3,200m), visit the thermal baths for a refreshing bath. After lunch, we start our hike, reaching our first campsite in 4 hours, Wacawasi (3,600m).
After breakfast, we start our hike towards our second camp. This day we start early, ascending through Ipsay pass. Along the way, we will see various rural communities, their customs, and the textiles they weave for daily use. We will reach Ipsaycocha lagoon for lunch, then continue to Patacancha, where we will spend the second night.
After breakfast, we continue our hike to the small town of Willoq, known for its original customs. We will also pass through small towns and observe the archaeological remains of Qochapata and Pumamarca, to appreciate the famous Inca terraces. At approximately 2:00 p.m., we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, located on the banks of the Vilcanota River, a fertile valley. This ancient Inca village is considered one of the most important living museums in the world. After lunch, we will have free time until 7:30 p.m., when we board the train to Aguas Calientes. We will spend the last night in a lodge with private bathrooms and hot water.
Very early we will start walking to the Inca city of Machu Picchu to see the sunrise and then have a guided tour of the entire sanctuary, lasting approximately 2.5 hours. After that, you will have free time until 3:00 p.m., and at 4:00 p.m. we will board the return train to Cusco.
