Itinerary

Pickup from the hotel in Cusco at 5:00 am for transfer to the train station in Ollanta. Board the train at 7:15 am to Km 104, where the short Inca Trail begins. Visit Chachabamba (2250 m) at Km 104. Continue hiking with a visit to Wiñayhuayna (Forever Young), which some believe was the ancient home of the priests of Machu Picchu. Enjoy the fantastic landscape of the Urubamba River. Finally, descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, including a bus ride down. Overnight in a selected hotel.

Ascend to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the main temples of Machu Picchu for approximately 2 hours, followed by free time to explore Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes to return to Ollanta at 6:45 pm via the Expedition service and then take the bus to Cusco, arriving in Cusco at approximately 11:30 pm.
